A sentinel giving orders during the Changing of the Guard ceremony at the The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Washington, D.C.

I highly recommend anyone visiting D.C. to visit Arlington Cemetery and get some real perspective on the number of people who’ve laid down their lives in sacrifice to the nation. The precision with which the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier carry out their daily routine is quite impressive.

Don’t be disrespectful however, because these guards carry a rifle for a reason and if you are disrespectful or cross the line, they will certainly fuck you up.
