Looking up at St. Patrick’s Cathedral from 5th Avenue — New York City.
This is the view of St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City from 5th Avenue. It’s a great representation of the mix of old and new architecture in our cities.
The most heavenly part of my day in Manhattan that day wasn’t hanging out in front of a church, but rather my time spent in Serendipity3 sampling one of their Frozen Hot Choclates for the first time.
What I wasn’t prepared for was the absolute HELL that awaited, trying to get back to the car, which was made impossible ironically because the POPE HIMSELF had blocked off the road across the entire width of Manhattan! He was in town giving a speech and I suddenly found myself in a sea of tourists clamoring behind a metal gate to catch a glimpse of a guy in a limousine.
Come on people, you don’t have ANYTHING better going on in your life than standing on the side of the road to watch some rich prick drive by in his limo?
Jesus Christ would even call you lame. Read your bibles, you know I’m right.
The only saint I give any credence to is Saint Anthony. He’s the one that my grandmother always told me to ask for help when I lose something. Since I lost half of my brain cells in art school, and can’t even remember that I put my wallet in my pocket most days, Saint Anthony is my main man! I wouldn’t have found my keys to get into the office this morning without him.
